Sharing a nesting box

Finally, they are now starting to use 2 boxes. Still only 3 of the girls laying, but I'm sure the others will be catching up soon.

I have 6, they all lay in the same box even though there are three boxes to choose from. I've tried putting eggs in the other boxes, but they like the one. I've seen two in there together laying and I've seen a third try to join them but didn't fit! Goofy things.

I have 5 and they have many places to lay their eggs but they lay in the same place too. Every once and awhile it will change spots or I'll find a egg in a different place than the others. I guess chickens just keep each other company laying the eggs or keeping them warm (broody chickens!

) (I have no rooster so no chicks)

I have 7 girls & Burt, the Rooster. None of the girls shows signs of sitting on the eggs, but we would be thrilled if they did..
He lets us know if there are Raccoons or Hawks around, so he is earning his keep
