sharing nesting boxes

Can anyone tell me if chickens will share their nesting boxes with new chickens if they don' t share the same coop ?
I have three 4 week old chicks that are just about ready to go outside to their own coop but they won't have a nesting box in it because of space limitations. I have four nesting boxes in the coop I have now and only three birds in there,but they only use the same two boxes all the time. Why they do this I have know clue. So any help with this would be great. I don't want to cause any fights between my girls. THANKS

Yes they will share nesting boxes. I think you really only need about one box for every 4 to 5 hens.
