I am liking the run you have. You can at least keep hawks at bay by using bird netting over the "less secure run".
I do have a question. Do you have more ventilation than I'm seeing in the 2 pictures? If not, you may have future issues as the chicks mature. I do see some areas that could be opened up for more ventilation.
