hi..my name is sharon and i'm living in central ma...i just ordered my chickens and should be getting them in a couple of weeks...i am brand new to chickens...the coop is put together, hubby is just finishing the pen, in which the coop resides...we have 2 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats and i have 250 african violets...i'm looking forward to raising my pullets (3 barred rock and 2 sussex)...hubby's looking forward to the eggs..i'm sure i will learn a lot by following the forums on this website...

Hi Sharon, I used to grow AV's in the 80's. For the past several years I have been growing and hybridizing streptocarpus (green leafed, variegated & scented varieties).
