Hi all !
We have not gotten our chickens yet. We thought here would be a good place to get educated first.
We are from western NY. Looking to start small (4). We do have a coop and large enclosed run. Hoping to get chicken in MArch/ April.
I have researched breeds for layers. Narrowed it down to two.
Who has there favorite cold tolerant, good layers?

If you ever get to Schenectady area there is a farm there that is a museum called "The Mabee farm" Back in 1706 or so it used to belong to my family the Mabees.
