Shattered rear window in van, low-cost options?

Never paid any attention to one myself.

Pexiglass or lexan either one will bend SOMEWHAT. Just a bit
harder to figure the size.

Bluesub, I just filled in the blanks on that last site you suggested and got a quote of $183. Which isn't as awfully awful as I feared. Still a big chunk more than we have on hand right now, but looking more do-able in the future.

However, there was an asterisk by the words "this is just an estimate". So do you think it's a bait-and-switch? There was also an option to click and be the first customer served tomorrow morning, with 20% off the price. Which might make it a good deal, or they might have a way to add that 20% back in with other unnamed fees & taxes.

You can always call your local junk yards for a price. Sometimes
they'll even have someone there able to put the glass in.

Duct tape and that plastic 6 mil I see sold in the paint section.Plexi glass costs more but that is also an option.I would do the tape and plastic first.

Check with junk yards for a replacement. Many years ago I knocked out the side window on a Bronco II and picked one up much cheaper than glass places offered. It was still $900.00 but it was a big window.
