Shavings In Brooder

Well my chicks have been on the pellets for about 24 hrs now and they seem to like it. It is sure nice not to smell poop anymore, not scented, just fresh air. I did notice that some of them are scratching and eating some of the crumbs. I sure hope it doesn't harm them.

I did have to dim the heat lamp a little due to the pellets being dark green. I guess the heat being absorbed from the lamp overhead warms the floor of the brooder nicely.
