Ok, good. I'm glad she didn't get in trouble today. Those broodys have attitude, I've heard. However if they get nasty they get a quick flick on the beak. She hasn't pushed it to that point yet and today I was at fault for messin with her so she didnt get in "trouble"..![]()
Oh they do. But they have good reason if they are setting on eggs. I dont think it would be fair to get on to her when im the one "pokin " at her.Ok, good. I'm glad she didn't get in trouble today. Those broodys have attitude, I've heard.
That is so true and it is justified when they are sitting. Doesn't it mean they are also being protective?Oh they do. But they have good reason if they are setting on eggs. I dont think it would be fair to get on to her when im the one "pokin " at her.![]()
Yes, at least i think so.lolThat is so true and it is justified when they are sitting. Doesn't it mean they are also being protective?
Aw, bless them. Isn't being broody also attributed to hormones?Yes, at least i think so.lol
Mine only act like that when broody or laying an egg. Otherwise they are sweet girls and dont mind being handled.
Im afraid we'd be like a bunch of broody hens fussin over her..
Here, like this!
Currently at my house!
Oh, turn the volume down ...
Oh i think youd be 100% correct!
I think it's safe to say the broody dust has settled at your house!![]()
It's all so fascinating. I have had tiny zebra finch birds over the years and lots of my little hens have been broody but my sweet girl now never has. I guess it depends upon the individual.Yes as far as i know. But i havent studied what hormones and how they cause them to go broody, or why some go broody but others dont, even though they lay eggs. Just never questioned it i guess..
