Top pic is black magpie, bottom pic looks to be pastel on left and grey on right... easier to tell colors and patterns when they're dry and fluffed though...

I don't think you've done anything wrong. As they continue to squirm, they push even further into the membrane, so even keeping it oiled can sometimes be difficult. Dealing with 7 at the same time is exhausting!
This is why I try to get as much membrane out of their way as possible.

Seven was a bit much all going wrong at once. To think I was bummed so few made lockdown.

It's been a while. . but part of it for me is that the hubby has been gone all week. I just can't make myself go to bed for some reason when he is gone. Hopefully he will get home tonight!!
