I’m not sure if you’re actually serious or just joking around, but I’ll accept the former...so, yes we can. She hatched three cockerels that were all very evident of being cockerels very early.

The chick you pointed out turned out to be gorgeous, the spitting image of his dad, with just a bit more color. That particular chick was from my Welsummer hen and my mixed Welsummer/Barred Rock roo.

I almost kept him as a backup, but he wasn’t just exactly what I wanted. Now that I’m a little more experienced than I was yesterday, I’m able to tell a little more about the personality/disposition of a possible keeper. Yep, it took me 13 cockerels to finally find my first keeper.
