The Great Blue Herons ate all the Channel Catfish out of my pond and they were a good 12 in and 4 or 5 lbs each!

Those birds are beautiful. We have a few around here, but I see them fly over alot.

They are beautiful, but they're so ungainly and silly looking when they fly, they look like a Pterodactyl or something.

Looks like a raptor. Could be a hawk or owl. I’d set up a game camera while also turning your coop into Fort Knox. Can you post pictures of your coop and run? Also where in the world are you located? That would help us identify the predators in your area.

We'll need pictures of your coop and run from each side, the dead chicken from every angle, along with your name, address, phone, credit card and SS numbers. Then we might be able to give you an educated guess. If it laid an egg it was most likely a platypus.
