We'll need pictures of your coop and run from each side, the dead chicken from every angle, along with your name, address, phone, credit card and SS numbers. Then we might be able to give you an educated guess. If it laid an egg it was most likely a platypus.

Looks like a raptor. Could be a hawk or owl. I’d set up a game camera while also turning your coop into Fort Knox. Can you post pictures of your coop and run? Also where in the world are you located? That would help us identify the predators in your area.

I don’t have chickens anymore... but do either of you know anything about cars, I have an 82 Volkswagen that only starts when I’m wearing cologne ... do you think it could be the fuel filter or should I take it to a vet?

no I wear this... And it wasn’t the carb I tapped it with a hammer and it was fine... but never mind I sold that car already

Oh once upon a time there was an expert trapper on here that taught me everything I know. Showed me the ways if you will. Waxing cages, de scenting said cages and a real nice bit on mink trapping. Sadly he was bamboozled by a bear trap.

Did he tell you how important it is to use your own pee to try to scare them away before you trap them?
