I use the brush on, it is easier to control where it ends up.

Blu Kote reminds me of how badly our hands would be stained from husking black walnuts.

I would use the brush on too. I once had a partially clogged nozzle on the spray type. Didn't realize it until I went to spray it and it went sideways.

They make a brush on one!?!?!
