He paid the price for foraging too close to my coop.

I usually trap a bunch of em around my yard but I haven’t lost a single bird *knock on wood* yet this past year with most being totally loose. I’ve been hell on em the past few years though. They aren’t worth skinning anymore so I just stick to foxes and mink.

But now mink supposedly carry the China flu so that’s a little iffy.

Ha mink are killers! Besides it’s the one animal I’m actually good at catching.

I don't think I have mink. Too many coyotes and bob cat.

If there’s a stream and there’s little fish, frogs, crayfish etc there’s mink. They’re everywhere just rarely seen. Pay attention to the little brown ball of fur on the road near bridges crossing water and you’ll see a bunch of dead mink.

Used to go to Rehoboth years ago. Colder winters than we have in SC.
I will look for that. We have a lot of fox, and I hope the ferral cats will keep those away.

I read the last fur auction almost 50 % of the furs never sold. There isn’t anything worth skinning hardly.
