I have my paternal grandmother's recipe for green tomato mincemeat. The only time I ever made a mincemeat pie, I used a store bought box of dried ingredients that you had to let absorb the water. It was okay but nothing like what my grandmother used to make.

I have never tried making it, my Grandma and great Aunts use to make it at Christmas. I have tried some of the jarred stuff in pies people claim they made.

If making pie is emptying a jar into a shell. They have been no where as good. Over 35 years without a decent mincemeat pie.

When it comes to chocolates..
You can't go wrong with dove.

Dove is very good. I prefer solid chocolate to candy with a drippy center. But a dark chocolate with a butt load of nuts and/or firm caramel makes a delectable edible! I think I’m addicted to the stuff...the good stuff!
