He may have been brilliant but played the roll well.

I like reading about various actors I watch. Schultz (John Banner) was a remarkable and very intelligent man. Unfortunately Hogan’s Heroes pretty much typecast him.

He fled Austria and the rest of his family perished in concentration camps. So sad.
