Actually, hen's can crow too. Its weird, but it happens. Our friend's hen crowed, and we knew it was a hen because it laid eggs. Unless you've seen it get on another one of them, it could be a hen. Its something about that when there aren't any roosters, the "top dog" hen takes charge.
