Our mother hen, Mouse, disappeared earlier and I thought a hawk had gotten her but a half hour ago, she finally decided to show up. She was in the garden side of our backyard and she probably laid an egg. Her 6 six week old chicks were freaking out the whole time she was missing. They were excited when I put her back in the yard and they crowded around her.
