ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Ok, I have been watching temps for 5 days

in my homemade incubator. This morning before school we were going to set the eggs. My 5 yo DD dropped an egg and it broke.
She was so upset! I was too but I am the mommy and so I assured her that it was ok and I would clean it up and we could set the eggs after school. I think I did a good job assuring her, even with her big brother adding his 2 cents.

I am doing this for them (dd 5 & ds 10) too, well it WAS my idea but I want them involved.

So we pulled the eggs out, I rinsed off the eggs with warm running water, dried them, cleaned up the incubator and sprayed with clorox bleach spray. And now we are waiting.....again.

I have 2 seperate sources of UMB (unknown mixed breeds or unidentified mutt birds)

and I wanted to keep them kind of seperate to know who did what.... well lets hope with this mishap that we get some chickies.

Kids you have got to love 'em. Bless her little heart I bet she was upset. Good job mom, for reassuring her even though you wanted to have a fit too. I know been there. Good luck with your hatch.

Oh that's to bad at least it was just one. My daughter likes to crack open the ones that don't hatch to see what was wrong with them. She's pretty good about understanding the process. Your little one will forget all about it when she gets to watch them hatch out and gets to hold one. Good Luck on your hatch.
