Between finally having feathers (because she started molting at the end of January) and the tons of snow finally melting, Beebee was now roaming around the yards with the other 2 instead of hiding in the coop all day.
In the morning, I open the human door and the 3 girls come running out. I step in to the coop, and open the pop door on the back wall. The girls come back in to the coop through the front door, walk out the pop door, and come around through the open gate to follow me back to the house. Yes, they are weird, but funny.
Essie follows me to the door. I think she would actually follow me through the door in to the house if I weren't quick enough. Then she stands at the door squawking for treats.
Essie likes to stand in the back part of our grill. She goes behind the grill and steps in. I am not sure why. But, Beebee saw the hiding spot, and decided it would be a good one.
Yesterday, I heard Beebee in there scratching around. Laurel went back there. I had the feeling Beebee was thinking of laying an egg from the way she was trying to fluff up the bottom shelf of the grill. I stood and watched. Laurel tried to get under Beebee- she had her head down against Beebee's chest, trying to barrel under her like a linebacker. As I tried to shoo Laurel away, Beebee stood and plopped out an egg.
This morning, Beebee was back in the grill. This time, she squeezed herself behind the propane tank-probably to get away from Laurel. I tried to get a video of her laying an egg, but instead, I caught Laurel trying to squish her way under Beebee.

I had to leave for work. As I left, Laurel was still trying to get under Beebee. When I came home, I found an egg. LOL.. Crazy chickens!

LOL- that's what I said to her. Especially when she jumped on top of the open grill, and was thinking about sitting up there.

Found another egg in the back of the grill again tonight!!
