At first, I thought our pullet was taking on the dominant role of the flock, then I read that a larger, pink comb and wattle shows that she's maturing. I would say she's 11-12 weeks old. When they were 7 wks, we gave away our cockerel, so she may be maning up. Is she turning into a leader, or a layer?

Around a couple of weeks before laying the pullet's combs and wattles will suddenly redden (you'll be able to notice it), they may start squatting and they will look for places to lay and observe nesting boxes. They will mature before they lay except for the comb. The comb will grow to full size later on.

I have 7 production reds.all are 18-19 weeks old. I've noticed 2 of them their combs are growing faster than the others ans now turning more red

It seems it is getting redder every day. She's the only one with that comb and wattle, and she IS a girl. I guess she's the oldest?

Do you think she's the closest out of them to lay? Even though she still has a ways to go?
