I went out to her broody coop today, opened the door, then no sign of her. Went out ever half an hour and still no sign of her, i opened the hut up and i was met with broody eyes, she has been out their for 3 hours and i am waiting for her to go for some food so i can take out some of the eggs as their is 21 of them. I will keep you posted and if they hatch i will have pictures.

If this is her first day to sit "all day" you may not see her get off her nest till late this eve. or even tomorrow morn. Broodies are so much fun!!!

went out this morning and she is still sitting on them, i have a question though, is the due date from when she first layed them or when she first started sitting full time? thanks in advance.

thanks she has got about 20 eggs and is sitting but i dont want to disturb her but she seams to be covering all the eggs. In storeys guide to raising ducks, it says a mother can have eggs up to the amount she can cover. So i think she will be ok any thoughts?

there is a little bit of poo in th hut if i gently put some more straw in will the affect her, i put some in earlyer before she was sitting, and she just pulled it over herself, will she just do this again, and will the poo do any harm?
