She needs a Name! (Cochin)

I don't know without knowing her personality, but one idea for naming different "batches" of chicks is themes. Movie stars this hatch, cast characters from your favorite sitcoms the next, famous western folks (real or on tv), even places. My two new purple peafowl are Paris and Prince, so I mixed it up a bit, but it suited them both. Cities make great names, like Vegas. Singers are good, too. Dolly, Reba, etc. Mountains, deserts, rivers....Denali, Smokie, Sahara, all good choices. Textures are good, Chamois, Silk, Velvet. (Ha! Just thought of Polly Esther... made myself laugh) I don't know. You can tell I love naming, but am not the best when I don't know the particular animal.

Our four new Wyandottes all got W names. Less than original, but with Wyandotte as a "last" name, they sound pretty good. We have William, Wanda, Wilma and Winnie. <G>

Your girl is very lovely - looks like great quality to me. I hope you come up with the perfect choice for her.

i dunno, she looks like a Fluffy to me....

Hands down - Phyllis Diller - does that make Phyllis a frizzle or crested polish - the woman, not the chicken. Not all of her comedy routines go over well - sometimes she just lays a big egg. LOL
