She picked the coldest, windiest... (small Update)

    , snowiest day this year to...LAY HER FIRST EGG!!! We have 5 red sex links and one EE. They turned 17 weeks on Monday. I think this if from Big Red. She is the most physically mature and she was the only one not on the roost today at lunch time (it was snowy and nasty out).

    Here is a picture next to a store bought large egg.

    Update: Looks like two of the ladies actually made an attempt today. Just found this hung up on the chicken wire over the poop board.

    There was a white and small yolk too. I pushed them through on to the poop board and mixed them in with the shavings and poo with my scraping board so the chickens couldn't get at it.
