EDIT :
she laid her 1st egg today ! .. talk about reading my mind, It's white and brown speckles! now the big question ..
Mum wants to know .. can you eat them and what is the best way to cook them !
so our two turkies are now 8 months old . We have decided we could not kill them for christmas but Mum wants them killed for Easter ..
I am not in favour of this ! but, Boxer (the black one) Drums, spits and gobbles and runs at us . Well it ran at my little cousin so now he is penned in and not allowed out. He (I Think) puffs his feathers out and constantly gobbles and struts and won't be quite.
The white one (Cinders) is fine. Very quite , kind of makes what i would say a 'yellping' sound. But she (we think) does not puff ,strut or any of the others. She seems nervous around Boxer now. And when penned in will stay on the roost. We have not seen any mating or eggs.
The days are now gettin longer here in Ireland and also warmer.
Can you tell me when or IF to expect eggs, also what is up with the black one.
Thanks
John
