@gachooks, he or she is very neat looking. I just wish I had more, with the rock in there I was hoping it would be easier to tell the sex of the bird, but with no one to compare to....
On the other hand, my faveroles mix with the same daddy were much easier to sex at a very early age. The females all had dark stripes through their eyes and/or darker heads, the two boys have very light heads and dark chests.

Thanks for the comments on my chick. It's around 9 weeks old and one of the few that don't have a big single comb. I'm not sure what exactly a pea comb looks like but that's one of the 2 that I thought might be. The owners of the parents were told that they are Aracuna but they are not like the standard and the eggs are green not blue.
The rooster would either be a black astralorp or another aracuna cross something.
First hatched from those eggs so I'll be able to work out what carries around Xmas
