I looked at the easy peasyhomeschool, even checked out the fb page, but I'm doing my own curriculm. I use Rebecca Rupp's "Home Learning Year by Year" for guidance. Another that I recommend. It's an older book but I think still meets grade requirements for the most part.A lil bit CC, a bit more 'teacher with panties too tight and talking down to kids like they were dog poo on her shoes and administration doing nothing'
Yes, most of those against me doing it, either 1. Don't have kids 2. Did a 'bang up' job raising their juvenile delinquents or 3. Didn't even finish school themselves..I'm over here like yeah, my 2 (working on 3) degrees and years spent actually raising my kids doesn't count huh?
I looked at that on Amazon and couldn't decide, but guess you decided for me..lol..order ..for Dummies it is..
I use easypeasyhomeschool a lot.. lots of good links and curriculum but I'm more of a "let's see how we can make hatching a lesson' or 'let's go on a field trip to museum, old burial grounds (Native American), we go on prison tours (look up Moundsville WV)..
my daughter was in 4th when I pulled her..was in gifted (one day a week for 40 mins..woohoo), reading at a 6th grade level..tested above and beyond in everything..but she loves to learn..thank goodness. .my son..well not so much..but he loves to help mama with hatching and brooding chicks. .lol
WV, who was it that attatched their heat sensor probe thing to a golf ball to keep it reading more steady???Amy-
Probe? There's a clear piece of "paper" with a cord in it that measures the temp and humidity for the screen. It's laying on the turner by the eggs. My t/hmeter is on the turner as well by the eggs.
I have all the channels filled but once they need filling again I won't fill all of them.
Right now they're both saying 43% but the built in thermometer is reading 10° more.
How would I do a dry hatch and is there better/less success?
SC!!!!!! Thank God I have chickens. 6 cake mixes later and 18 eggs!!! Few...still more work to be done....lolAaaaaammmyyyyyy!!!!!!
Save me some cake...
Adorable!
How much different do duck eggs taste than chicken eggs? Can you mail me some of that pie, @FowlingAround?![]()
I made chocolate chip cookies once using duck eggs and they came out really flat, but they were so crispy and delicious!
Just do what I would do. Let it ride and say flock itI'm officially in day 20 and NOTHING is going on the incubator. Dying to candle to look for an internal pip, but ambient humidity is at 7% right now and I don't want to open it. Pump is working hard enough as it is.
Patience is not my strongest virtue............................
