We built a shed in our woods up north and just used hardware cloth to screen in all the soffits that would normally be boarded up. We did that as we run a generator in there and didn't want to keel over from carbon monoxide poisoning when we go in. It works really well year round. Just another thought for a small coop...

I really don't have a problem with him. I enjoyed sparring with him, and he could do it without getting angry. I don't know why he left all of a sudden

I have two. The one coop is about 9x4 1/2. Right now it has 10 chickens in it. The coop we are finishing 12x5, I will be putting the 15 12 weekers in. Next spring, if we are still here, I will be penning the 6 Spitzhaubens out.

I have the 20 from my last hatch that will eventually be going out, I just don't know how many cause I can't sex them yet...lol

Anyone eaten a silkie? Quite frankly she's not a very nice bird and I'd like to replace her. No matter how much we sit with the chickens and feed them treats and everything else She's them only one that won't come near. I can't sell her as a silkie because she's a cross and I can't imagine many people wanting her anyway lol anyway what do you guys do with birds you just don't want? Eat um? Give them away?
