She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Ha, well I'm in western Nc. We'll meet in the middle :)

Like the song says ain't no road to long when we meet in the middle
Um, I don't know that song. Probably too young to :/
Since you can't give me some pie, would you be so kind as to PM me the recipe? Cause I'm dying for it now. It looked so yumalicious

I will try and pm you tomorrow. It is an old recipe. Also look up Dimond rio " meet in the middle" good solid country music right there

Hopefully someone is awake and can give me some advise on my twin egg that should be hatching today. I had three eggs pip about 8 am yesterday morning and pretty much didn't do anything more than a slight pip until about 4 am this morning. I have 13 eggs in the bator...2 I was pretty sure were late quitters but I put them in anyways. One of the late quitters was also a twin egg. The twin egg in here that I know was good at lockdown wobbled most all day yesterday but still has not pipped. As I type this, I have 6 eggs pipped and two are having a race right now to see who can get out first. As recommended, the twin eggs were layer on their sides to hatch but the others are in egg cartons since I had such a great hatch Saturday using cartons. My question is this....should I make a safety hole in the twin egg? I know they (or at least one) is still alive in there because I still see an occasional wobble. Not nearly as much wobbling as when I went to bed last night for the whole three hours that I slept with one eye open. I sure hope someone can give me some advise...I don't want to open the bator and do the wrong thing.

I am not well versed on the whole bator thing I let my girls do the work. I am of the hands off opinion but you may have to intervene with it being a twin the problem I see is that it may take longer to be fully developed as it was a twin. Maybe someone with more knowledge can help. I know everyone else thought it was a goner so what do u have to lose. If u help and it lives u saved it if u help and it doesn't that's about what most expected.

Thanks...I know not to expect them to get out without help, I just do to want to do it too soon and have that membrane dry out:( ****... This is as stressful as waiting for my first grandchild to pop out as I stood there feeling helpless...lol

I need a name for my stupid white silkie. I have 2 and I named one Gabe (Gabriel Iglesias, I'm not fat, I'm fluffy!) lol. I thought it was a boy but still not sure, so it may end up Gabby. The other one, probably female, is so stupid! And she's a loner. I keep calling her dumb@ss so I really need a better name. Even though she is dumb, she's still a keeper, so any suggestions?

Oh that's definitely a lil roo..might as well pack him up now while he's still little and send him to me.
Don't say that!!!! LoL!!! I think its a hen. Her little top notch is a round puff ball. Not squarish at all. So .........NO!!

Lol, well, when we let the other girls out of the run into the yard, she is the only one that can't figure out how to get out!. They have to hop over a threshold maybe 5" high. The other can do it easily, but this one just walks back and forth by the gate

None of my chickens are rocket scientists, but the silkies are by far the least intelligent

Very, very informal results here.. I incubated shipped eggs in my new Brinsea Eco 20(following MFG's instructions) and barnyard mix eggs in my Hovabator (dry-ish hatch). I think I'm done with my hatch, day 21 no new pips or peeps since this am. I hatched 4x the number of eggs in the Brinsea (and they were shipped!!). I'm convinced!

I need an emoticon biting it's tongue, I could probably find one, but wayyyyyy to tired to look...lol

You think I wasn't thinking it when I wrote it? Just be glad I said chickens. I could have said roosters and been suggestive, or I could have said something else and totally blown it out of the water

LOL. You have to have a special touch for the styros...lol That's great though. SC will be so happy to hear that Brinsea prevails yet again...lol

Was there ever any doubt?

Were they shipped? We got on the topic bc of the dips in the shipped eggs air cells that started wobbly but there was a noticeable difference in vaults in those that hatched and those that didn't ..I've not hatched polish thst weren't shipped so can't compare that. .
They were mine. I was under the impression reading your post that you were either using non shipped eggs, or were wondering the success rate with non shipped

You have to stick around for a bit when you show up, because it will take me a while to put it together
