Did you say you washed your eggs? Or the incubator? The general recommendation is to NOT wash eggs that will be incubated. They do better if you leave them au naturel (with the bloom on them). I like to have my bator up and running with sealed bottles of water for 24 hours to allow it to stabalize before committing eggs to it. Even then, when you put the eggs in, you'll see the temp drop. It's important to just wait out that drop, and it will eventually come back up again. A lot of people jump on that temp drop and start tweaking, then they end up with a lethal spike.
Thanks for the temp drop tip! I washed incubator not the eggs. I did add water to the reservoir, that's probably why it was reading so high. Will wait until tomorrow to add the eggs.
