We have 13 rhodebar eggs, @RavynFallen I think we might just set later today.

Happy Friday, guys!

Thank you, thank you very much.

Since this is my first shot with it, none of this is conclusive, but last night was the most rapid consecutive hatching I have ever had. At one point there were 7 wet chicks in the incubator. None sticky at all, but hatches today and later is when I start seeing the sticky chicks. I really, really want 15, but can't help but have that dream of 20

I hope it goes well, because 9 of the eggs for the next set are those giant chocolate eggs

20!!!

In my notebook I keep all the perentages you mentioned: set/fertile, set/hatch, fertile/hatch, lockdown/hatch. Every number tells us something different, but I think parades should be Fertile/hatch. If that's the case, then my upper number would actually be 22, so my 75% would be 16.5 rounded up to 17. That's a much higher goal, but is more parade worthy
I need a notebook.

Oh year its that time already.

Chicapee, I went back to try and find all of your numbers. Did you have 15 in lockdown, with 18 set to begin with? 13/18 puts you right on the parade bubble, but if you only locked down 15, I'm at the PC and we are going to kick this weekend off with a parade

What she said, Down arrow

She had 20 set originally... 1 clear and 1 BCM questionable... 18 went into lockdown, one with ?... 13 outta 20 shipped is a parade any day, lol...
thumbsup.gif

50% is what I read as average for shipped, so I was going with 75% for the parade. 18x0.75= 13.5

Rounded up, it misses the bubble by one tenth. I really want to throw a parade, personalized for chicapee. Someone throw some red paint on me so I can forget that 0.1

Ok, lemme make an outline...
She's a naturalized Brit living in Mississippi, right? That opens a lot of windows

*sigh* I've been hanging around sc too much...
You're not the only one!

You'll get a smack for talking about Amy's spread...

So many placez to go. . .

If you get 20/20 we should ALL throw you a parade. Even 75% would be close to miracle material.

Usually my double yolkers are more oblong. These are just massive eggs. I think the older hens I bought are much better bred than my straight run chicks

My brain is trying way too hard today.

Phone app keeps losing its mind.
Adorable!

Well, it's a bit early, but if you insist!

Oh that is too funny, and so believable!

My three week old lone turkey poult will be four weeks old when her siblings hatch. I can't wait to see if she becomes den mother to them. She is cute, I can always tell when she's eating, as she gives her "here is food, everyone" chirp while snacking.
We have a single RIR pullet that was rescued. She has been alone for about two months, in her own pen, I don't know if I should integrate her into the adult flock or wait a few weeks and put her in with the chicks(which are 4-5 weeks). There are 5 australorp hens and one roo in our original flock. There is also a flock of 4 hens and one roo that are about 1.5 years old. We got them about a month ago and haven't integrated them yet. What should we do with her?

Heading up to the woods to gather firewood. I'll catch up later. I can't wait to see this one...

It is getting about that time, isn't it?
big_smile.png
This is the best part of the year. It was so pretty today, finally!
The only thing I hate is I have to break it up into so many posts so I don't lose the pictures. Maybe at the end I can quote them all and tie them together
It's catching. . .

Oh wow there was more to come. That is excellent and I feel very special thanks @scflock
That's why the bar is so high
thumbsup.gif

Congratulations on your hatch, and now you are only the second person to have received a parade

I won't know my final tally until I get home in about 4 hours
