I like to give egg yolk. It has natural selenium and other vitamins. Just hard boiled egg yolk crumbles or a soup made of crumbled egg yolk and vitamin water.
I need to remember that recipe.

One of my new little ameraucana has a problem. I am suspecting wry neck. She looks like she has a tick, she walks around in circles and twitches her head. They have vitamins in the water and I just gave her a few drops of nutri drench. Do I need to do any thing else?
That's the 1 I have now. It says incubator warehouse.com over the screen and it's got a little cracked open egg stamped below the screen. That's the 1 that is reading 30%. Actually now it's reading 25%. It started at 40% yesterday, within an hour it went down to 30 and today it says 25.
Was trying the new 20 out back. I heard the chickens pitching a fit. I flew back to the house and there was a hay bale right outside the pens. It disappeared before I could get off the Gator. Now for the stakeout...
I'm not sure what the humidity is inside but outside it's really humid, especially today. I used to have a little gadget that had a remote sensor that told us the temp and humidity and weather patterns, it was 1 of those indoor outdoor things, I was actually going to try to used that bit I can't find the base or the sensor. Is your ambient humidity fairly high there? If it's anywhere above 50% then you can set your eggs without any water in the bator for the first few days and it shouldn't cause issues... just order a new one online if you can't find a good one nearby...
First week it's the temp that's most important, so as long as your thermometer is accurate and temp is steady all should be fine...
That sounds a bit different than wry neck, but I'd give it same treatment anyways... the egg yolk is good, and the nutriedrench... I'd give as much egg yolk too all of them as you'd like and give her straight drops of the vitamins 3x a day and again tomorrow, if needed...
Only had one with wry neck once, and no idea why, but one day of the nuridrench 3x was all I did... it was fine the next day and couldn't tell it apart from the others...
Hope she gets better quick...
