I thought it was you that mentioned priming it, so I figured that out! Seems to be working fine. Thanks for the 72 confirmation too, that makes me feel better. I'll get out a spray bottle too.
Most people will say don't worry about it, them stumbling around doesn't hurt the other egg it motivates them...... I personally remove my chicks to the brooder as they hatch and become active. I feel it is a personal decision and you do what is comfortable for you. If you do open your bator just make sure that the humidity is up 70% ish and regains humidity quickly after opening. So quick question on my first hatching. The first chick to hatch keeps walking around (stumbling) into all the other eggs and moving them. Is this okay or do I need to move it to thr broading box?

Thanks Ross!
DH feels bad when I cry, so he asked "are you sure you want to keep doing all this chicken stuff"? I told him I would feel better if I could put some eggs in the incubator and he threw a dishtowel at me!![]()
That's an awesome costume! So I HAVE to share a pic that has nothing to do with chickens. My son has gotten into Godzilla and King Kong and all that and decided he wanted to be Godzilla for Halloween this year. I let him pick his costume and we ordered it Tuesday. It got here today so we had to try it on and check it out and make sure everything worked. So funny watching him walk around in it. I love it. Now he can't wait until Halloween.
