I do a nightly candle. Granted the smallest hatch I have done so far was the last hatch where I only set 21, and that was my hatch that I set 6 aside to candle every single night to see if there was any negative effect on the eggs. (All 6 developed and hatched healthy as well as 15/16 of the hands offs.)  But, I usually check 4 or 5 DIFFERENT eggs each night just to fullfill my addiction and check the air cells. This whole broody affair has really made my hands itch cause I want to see the every night. She's only got three and they are on day 16. I managed to get a good look at them tonight when I candled and they are looking great. Nice movement and growth. Just hoping they hatch alright next week and don't die of cold after.

Earlier I decided to just candle the 1's that I didn't see any development in yesterday but once I started I couldn't stop and candled all 29 again, lol. That heartbeat is addicting!!

:gig If it helps any I can try to post some candling pics Sunday! I'd be more than happy to candle everyday to help slack your appetite for candling :lol

Yes, a candling monster has been born!! I kept saying 'just the 10 I didn't see anything in yesterday' but that didn't last long, lol. I got to the 10th 1 and then I was like 'I'll just check a few of the others' You know, for blood rings ;) but then I ended up candling them all, I think I have a problem, lol.

Of course ;) I'd spend a large fortune in batteries if I wasn't, lol. My husband just got a new flashlight from Snap-On a few days ago that's 200 and some lumens, it's super bright and it loves batteries! It's not as bad as that Bushnell that we got a couple weeks ago though, it only had a 1 and a half hour battery life, I was killing batteries every 2 days. These CREE LED's burn alot of power and they get real warm compared to most other LED's, too.
