I'd spend a large fortune in batteries if I wasn't, lol. My husband just got a new flashlight from Snap-On a few days ago that's 200 and some lumens, it's super bright and it loves batteries! It's not as bad as that Bushnell that we got a couple weeks ago though, it only had a 1 and a half hour battery life, I was killing batteries every 2 days. These CREE LED's burn alot of power and they get real warm compared to most other LED's, too.
WHOA! You said a month ago about DH getting a new Snap-on light! You telling us you done wore that one plumb out & you're on another one??

Lol, no, that 1 he has had for a couple of years now. It's still good, it's just too big to use to candle the eggs. I tried, believe me, lol, just couldn't contain the overflowing light well enough. Now, if I could've used it to candle with it probably would be worn out by now ;)

I use a 225 lumens flashlight to candle

Not my led one. I can leave it on and it never warms up. I also have it in a shadow box I made from a photo box and a toilet paper roll so even if I switch lights I'll be okay.
Most of my led lights are cool running too but the CREE led's are insanely bright and burn lots of power. It's a relatively new type of led, alot bigger and brighter so they create more heat.

I just set 4 lavender ameracaunas, 1 wheaten ameracauna, and 3 lavender Orpington eggs I received from ray_n_debi. Due to hatch October 22.
I think I messed myself up on the hatches because my daughter turns 8 October 18, we are having her birthday party here at my house (bonfire) on oct 17. I have 104 quail hatching October 15. How am I gonna keep all those people out my brood room? Lol

I'm thinking all the high maintenance chicks in that place don't have feathers & live in a coop!
