I have 2 pips!!!! Yay!!!!!! The first was my CLB/Alsteirer crosses and when I looked back at Ravyns CLB egg it had pipped in a matter of seconds! !!! I am so happy!!!!

Auto turn...no time to turn by hand...homeschooling two kids, plus have chickens, dogs, a puppy to potty train, usual chores, plus taking in some sewing for a bit of extra cash...I use an auto turner because its more reliable than my hands as well (forgetting or dropping one or over handling...) . Suggestions welcome on how long to wait to turn because I'm thinking I will wait a good 4 days from today to turn it on (two days setting outside of incubator and another 2 days in the bator without turner rotating). What do ya think?

So I did a quick early check on the Call eggs when I turned them earlier... looks like most from our big group aren't fertile... so won't have a huge group of winter ducklings to brood, lol...

They are all a year and younger... just not breeding now... it's really late in the year for Calls... and we only moved them here a month ago...

It's ok, really... we didn't expect the girls to start laying til Spring anyways... will get lots of ducklings then... and Lady Grey's eggs are developing!! Dunno if they'll hatch due to size, but we're trying...

Oh, no!! No omelettes with these eggs! The girls have almost stopped and they'll start up again in Spring and we'll be hatching them all...
