NutriDrench doesn't have enough calcium, she needs ~50 mg calcium per pound. Do you have any Tums?

I will have to get some tomorrow. Not allowed to drive until then. Hubby is working away.

She's what, 5 or 6 pounds? she needs 250-300mg.Apparently there is 50 mg in an oz, she has about 2.5 oz
It helps with muscle contractions. In mammals it take awhile to metabolize or something, but there's something different about birds that allows them to use the calcium as soon as it hits the blood stream. I gave it the other day and the hen laid her egg ten minutes after I gave it. Of course it should also be given with fluids, but most people aren't going to do that. For those that know how to tube, try tubing fluids and calcium together.Ok, so I'm learning so much....who would have thought tums??? I mean, I get it, but I just wouldn't have thought about it. Ok, so, I have never experienced a egg bound hen. I did read a piece one day, but info I don't use doesn't always stick so I am going to ask, what is the connection between being egg bound and calcium?
Ohhhh interesting. Thank you.It helps with muscle contractions.
