I am converting a large storage shed into a chicken coop. The shed is 10X20 and I have put roosting poles on the right side, and 6 nesting boxes on the left. I have a waterer and feeder hanging from about the middle. The trouble is that there is a lot of wasted space. I am new to chickens (just ordered my first 25 from TSC) and am looking for any suggestions as far as anything else to incorporate in the coop. Thanks!

Can you divide the coop something for storage of food and shavings, tools etc. Being inside just a wall with some wire would be easy enough to build.

Jetdog- that's is a good idea. At very least building some storage bins for feed and tools would be beneficial. My wife also mentioned maybe mounting a brooder box on one of the open walls. Thanks for the input!

Sounds good if you have electric in the shed the possibilities are endless, lights, brooder box, heat lamp, auto door etc.....good luck
