I just finished building my new coop and I'm so thrilled with it. I bought plans for a 4x4x8 shed online, and modified the roof to fit under the eaves of the garage that the coop is next to. The coop sits at the front corner of the garage, which is on my alleyway in a city. The run is the space between my garage and the property line fence, 5'x22'. I left a 4' roof overhang into the run to keep the feeder dry and keep water out of the coop. I bought a Best Nest Box and I have high hopes for it. The chickens are not impressed so far, but I'll keep hoping they use it for laying.

Even though it looks like a fancy outhouse🤣 I'm limited to 3 hens in the city, so it's more than big enough. I'm pretty proud of my handiwork🙌

Can't imagine many predators will be able to get in there, so that's good.. Great job! I'm hoping one day I can build a shed. I just found plans for one with a see through roof.
What are the bungee cords for? I see you have a Buff Orpington, what are the other two breeds...love that cream-colored one.

The bungee cords are to close the gap between the wire panels across the top. The dark brown hen, Blueberry, flew out almost immediately and kept going to visit our neighbors. I don't remember what the breeds are, they were an impulse purchase at the feed store. I usually take rescue leghorns that were scheduled to be gassed by commercial producers.
