Just build a door. It really isn't that hard. Build it square, make it 1/2" skinnier and shorter than the opening. Buy one 4x8 sheet of that sheet foam insulation, and you are golden.

I know some people are big on the insulation, but for me as long as there is very adequate ventilation and no drafts I am good with less stuffing in the walls lol.

I worry because it can get -30F here and it can stay below -20F for days.
