Shedding feathers?

I have a pekin chicken and lately I have noticed that she has started shedding a lot of feathers. She has starting shedding feathers around her feet (that I have noticed). I don't know if she is pulling them out, or if this is a natural occurrence or it is a symptom of something worse. She was broody before, and I know that sometimes chickens pull their feathers out to give more direct heat to the eggs. I'm not sure if her broodiness has stopped. But she is no longer acting the way when she was before. Could someone please tell me if something is wrong with her? Or if this is natural?
