I purchased a ewe with 2 lambs. she was the type that looses her own wool without having to be sheared. What are they called?

the lambs have since grown and 1 has 1-2" thick wool and the other has slight horn buds and her wool looks more wiry like a goat.

Here is the side of Cotton Ball. She is chocolate wool with black body. tip of her tail is white.

Oreo is mixed color and she is the one with the really short wool. sorry for the angle, she was in a compromising position...always peeing!

This is Oreo from the back. Neither of them have wool on their legs or stomachs, and their necks are smooth, too. Mom looked just like Cotton Ball but all black & chocolate. She had 3 lambs, but someone purchased the 3rd one just as I got there so I don't know what it looked like.

You have Katahdin or Katahdin cross sheep. The best hair breed, IMO. You will enjoy how funny these sheep are and they will grab your heart. You might like to participate in BYH sister site, the link will be found at the bottom. Good info there on how to care for your hair sheep.

Why does one have tons of wool and the other not? I'll check out the other website, too.

The ewe was not tame at all, so we just kept the lambs and they are my babies! They loved to be brushed and scratched. I'd like to breed them because we did buy them for meat...but you know how that goes.

Thank you for the help, everyone!
