Sheep + chickens

I wanted to get sheep and was wondering if chickens can make sheep sick?? There would always be a fence in between them but the chickens sometime get in their pen so I wanted to know if I needed to put them farther apart or give the sheep special meds???

I had merino sheep and chickens next door to each other. They were separated by a horse wire fence and there wasn't a single problem. The chickens loved to escape into the sheep pen to cuddle with the sheep and the sheep loved to try and escape into the chicken pen to eat the chicken scratch. But for the most part everyone stayed where they belonged and got along well.
