I raise Katahdins; they are one of the friendliest sheep breeds and make awesome pets. When I got mine they were adults and very scared, but I spent a lot of time with them and they eventually warmed up to people. They can still be skittish in some situations, like when they see an unfamiliar object or animal, but most of the time they are friendly, gentle sheepies that enjoy bottom scratches. When they lambed they trusted us to pet and handle their lambs and the lambs were super friendly and SO adorable.

Now I also had goats. They are, in my opinion, TOO friendly to the point of being annoying. Sheep are so much more pleasant to be around as they are not constantly breathing (and burping) in your face, chewing on your boots, and taking things out of your pockets.
