Currently I am raising 20 Cornish X's as well as 6 laying hens and all are the same age. All are currently inside the coop. I was planning on moving my Cornish X's into the run for the remainder of their time as they are growing rapidly. Should I attempt to shield the "run" portion of my coop due to wind and rain we might experience? Any suggestions on what to use? I do have some DuPont Typar "house wrap" leftover from other projects. My father told me I needed to shield them from the wind and to keep them from being spooked. I think it still gets too cold outside (lower 50's) for them as they are 3 weeks old, Almost feathered. My coop does have electricity and I can put a heat lamp in the run if needed.
