I’ll go first! So I bought a pre-printed painting kit a few months ago and I finally grabbed it from the closet. It’s a goldfish in a tea bag. 😂 Now I’m on a mission to find the craziest things to paint. I’m open for inspiration and suggestions.

POTW: write about a moment in life that always seems to hit different for you. (Eg. Night before Vacation, Christmas Eve, Last time doing something).
The mention of holidays put me on an interesting track.
The basic holidays always had their magic. Smelling food all Thanksgiving day, opening presents on Christmas morning with danish pastries on the table, New Year's not always meaning a midnight party, but usually involving movies and cracking open snow crab legs. I had 19 lovely Thanksgivings, Christmases, and New Years with my family, but then I got married last November and moved far, far away from everyone.
Last year, we had Thanksgiving a month early so that I could still enjoy it with my family. It didn't feel the same, but it was something.
Then came the actual holidays. It was rough, I really missed my family, and I'm pretty sure I cried on both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
BUT, I had some brand new, wonderful experiences. We go to a Greek Orthodox parish, and if you've seen Big Fat Greek Wedding, you have an idea of how Greeks like to party. Everyone's invited and the joy is very loudly shared! So, we spent both of those holidays with our church family and it was really wonderful. It's still not the same, it's not the same kind of magical feeling I had growing up at all, but it's something that I am now greatly looking forward to this year. It'll be a different kind of special feeling.
