Shelf Liner At Lockdown- Affects Humidity Level in Hovabator Genesis?

Don't you put the water under the wire floor? Well by using the shelf liner you are covering the wire floor, and blocking humidity, correct? How does that work?

I use shelf liner in my homemade incubator and have not had any problems at all with humidity.

I think the kind of shelf liner some people might be using is the kind that goes in the crisper at the bottom of the fridge, it feels a bit like rubber and has holes in it. The other kind probably wouldn't be recommended as it's surface would become very slick if it got wet at all.

I use the same rubber kind in my incubator. I realize it's not the same type of incubator but I wouldn't think it would block humidity. That's just the moisture in the air.
