Shell back babies

Forgive me if I'm in the wrong place....first day here. I just hatched my first incubator full and two of the chicks have some membrane and what basically looks like a turtle shell still attatched to their backs. Should I keep those two separated from the rest until the shell falls off? Or, more to the point, when will the shell fall off, if at all? Thank you.

I would get some lukewarm water and wet the membrane, then try to gently peel it off. If they dry with it on there, it will be stuck tight. Hope this works for you.
