I have an almost 2 year old buff Orpington who has always been a good layer. On Friday she laid a normal egg late morning but then by evening was lethargic and refused food (she NEVER refuses food). A couple hours later she laid an egg with no shell, just the membrane, and no yolk. Pictures are attached. The egg white wasn’t even in the membrane. She has perked up but has a pale comb and hasn’t laid since. It’s been two days. She has gone in the box like she wants to, but doesn’t lay.

This happens sometimes and may not be any cause for alarm. Has she resumed eating and drinking? You might be able to get some color back in her comb by adding some electrolytes to her water.

Have you checked her abdomen/rear to make sure she isn't egg bound?

She has. It took 4 days but she laid a normal egg on the fourth day. I don’t think she’s 100% normal but she’s definitely better than the first day.
