I have a young pullet who hasn’t officially laid yet. Several times when I go in to wake them
in the morning, I have found shell less eggs plopped under the roosts. They have all the right things available ( layer feed, oyster shells) and they free range most of the day. Should I be looking for an additional supplement to give her or is this just her bodies natural process?

Soft shell, thin shelled eggs under roosts of new layers are normal.
My first Flock (5 Golden Comets) started to lay between 16.5 weeks to 19 weeks old.
I started to switch to a Layers feed mixed with Starter-Grower 50/50 at 16 weeks through 18 weeks before 100% Layer.
I got a lot of eggs under roosts in that time and thin shelled eggs in nests.
I introduced Oyster Shells around 19 weeks old to remedy.

A pre-Layer ration is not available to most so mixing Starter Grower and Layer feed is equal to it.
But because it's difficult to predict when Pullets will start laying. My recent Flock was 5.5 weeks between first and last to lay. So Oyster Shells is the way for me.
My second and third Flock I offered Oyster Shells after 15 weeks, before they started to lay.
I could count eggs under roosts on one hand for each Flock of 7 and 5 respectively.
They have all the right things available ( layer feed, oyster shells) and they free range most of the day.
The layers feed and oyster shells are good, but only if they eat enough of either.
I don't let my Pullets free range till all have been laying in the nests for a week.
That was nearly 24 weeks old with my most recent Flock.
The last to lay was just under 23 weeks old.

Of course you need a large coop or pen in my case to do that. GC
